Milestones of OpenCelium GmbH
Why the name OpenCelium?
Mushrooms are still gigantically valuable and irreplaceable. They are of great importance medically and ecologically. They recycle all organic waste into nutrients and humus for new growth.
Like plants, they form a structure comparable to roots, the mycelium. It is composed of very long, thin hyphae. These hyphae serve as a kind of network for trees to exchange information and warn of threats.
OpenCelium takes this wonder of nature as its model. Mycelium – in English mycelium – serves as the eponym. Since we love open source and its benefits, we replaced“my” with“open“.
With OpenCelium, you get an open technology that can connect applications and automate processes – just as mycelium enables trees to communicate with each other.
