OpenCelium | Major Release 3.0

With today’s major release 3.0 of OpenCelium we have chosen a very special date. In honor of our company founder Hans-Otto Brunsch, whose birthday we would like to celebrate today.

In this update, the main work was done on a brand new service portal. Features such as the Marketplace, API Converter and Service Center provide significant support in managing the OpenCelium environment. In addition, some new connectors were developed again. We are very pleased to make it available for you to download now.

The Marketplace

The Marketplace provides a central location for obtaining all available connectors and business templates. The database is synchronized continuously and is thus constantly up to date. Supported by an integrated search and filter option, the content is made available quickly and easily.

The Service Center

The Service Center offers the function to manage all service requests directly via the portal. A built-in FAQ provides support for questions and at the same time relieves the ticket volume for support requests. Additionally, we have implemented a chat bot which unceremoniously takes over the conversation for many routine tasks.

The API Converter

In the future, own connectors can be generated free of charge via the API Converter. Other API documentation formats can be used to convert them into an OpenCelium readable format. Currently we support OpenAPI from v3.0.3 and WSDL formats.

New Download Format

In addition, a new download format is available as of v3.0. This format is a compiled ZIP file, which has become 90 times smaller than previous versions. Also removed tools that needed to be included with third party repositories. For example, Nodejs was replaced by a normal Linux web server (nginx or apache2).

Another advantage of this compilation is that the end files can be checked for malicious code (security vulnerability). This provides additional security protection and reports on potential issues quite automatically.

The Service Portal is currently only available for users with an OpenCelium license. You will receive a dedicated email with your personal access data in the next few days.
